Bladder or Bowel
As many as 1 in 3 women experience pelvic floor problems at some point in their lives. Most commonly these problems occur during pregnancy / after birth, or later in life when women experience hormonal changes including the menopause but they can occur at any age.
These can have a big impact on your quality of life and self-confidence but it doesn’t have to be this way. Women’s Health Physiotherapy has been shown to be highly successful in resolving these problems.
I treat a wide range of pelvic floor issues including:

-
Leaking during exercise or with coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting etc.
-
An urgency to empty your bladder or your bowels
-
Leaking urine or stools if you don’t reach the toilet in time
-
A frequency to go to the toilet (more than 8 times in 24 hours)
-
Difficulty holding on to wind
-
Constipation
-
Difficulty emptying your bladder or bowels properly
-
Wind from the vagina, especially when moving from certain positions
